As a health enthusiast, she turned to airbrush spray tanning to avoid the damaging effects of the sun, premature aging and as a mere convenience.  What a luxury and time saver!  Tan and glowing instantly!  Who has the time these days to be in the sun for hours on end? And who wants premature wrinkles?  Or worse, skin cancer?
